A. Sacred Frankincense is hydro distilled. No solvents of any kind are used.

Q. What is the status of the trees planted in Oman?

A. The Sacred Frankincense trees in Oman are alive and well and are thriving in the areas we collect resin. The resin is being distilled 6 days a week. The resin is collected and stored for year round distilling.

Q. Is Sacred Frankincense from Oman exclusive to Young Living?

A. We are unable to comment on our competitors' sources. That being said, we can state that all of Young Living’s Sacred Frankincense comes from Oman.

Q. What is the percentage of sesquiterpenes in Frankincense and Sacred Frankincense?

A. We cannot provide percentages as we regard it as proprietary information. We can tell you that Frankincense (Boswellia carterii) is higher in sesquiterpenes.

Q. What is the difference between Frankincense and Sacred Frankincense?

A. They are different species of the plant and are harvested from different places. Their essential oils also have different constituents. The top three constituents in each are listed below:

Frankincense: Alpha-Pinene Limonene Myrcene

Sacred Frankincense: Alpha-Pinene Camphene Sabinene

Topical: Apply 2-4 drops directly to desired area. Dilution not required, except for sensitive skin.

Aromatic: Diffuse up to 1 hour 3 times daily. Diffuse this oil while practicing yoga, meditation, or prayer to deepen your experience and feel a connection to ancient traditions.

Storage: Keep in a cool, dark place. Do not store above room temperature.
